Senkoji Temple and Ropeway A panoramic view of Hiroshima's proud Japanese heritage Onomichi City from the precincts.Daiho-san Gongen-in Senkoji Temple is located 140m above sea level on the middle slope of Mt. Daiho, overlooking Onomichi Port.
Cat Alley In Onomichi The area known as Ihatov is filled with quirky art galleries, garden cafes, sake bars and “fukuishi neko” (lucky stone cats). Shunji Sonoyama hand painted 108 of these stone cats each unique with different expressions. Visitors can find these feline statues on fences, in trees, on roofs and within the cafes.
Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens is a place for visitors to experience the spirit of Zen through a variety of activities, like tasting a bowl of tea, appreciating a piece of Zen calligraphy, eating a Zen meal that nurtures the body and soul, taking a bath to cleanse the mind and body, and strolling in the extensive gardens.

Fukuzenji Temple Taichoro Overlooking the wonderful view of Tomonoura, Taicho-ro was built around 320 years ago, around 1690, as a guest hall for Fukuzen-ji Temple, a Shingon Buddhist temple. From the tatami room, you can get a wonderful view of Tomonoura, with Sensuijima and Bentenjima floating in the calm Seto Inland Sea.
