The 75th Kyo Odori
This performance of dance celebrating the arrival of spring began in 1950.
After enjoying the program of different dances, the audience is treated to the Miyagawa Ondo dance, which is presented each year as the finale of the event and is performed by the entire company of female "geiko" and "maiko" dancers.
This group performance by all of the dancers clothed in gorgeous kimono, their sleeves almost brushing against each other, makes for a splendid spectacle.
The entire event adds an enchanting accent to springtime in Kyoto.

予約前の確認事項
Schedule: 60 minutes performance will be held daily at 13:00 - 14:00 between 2026/4/4－2026/4/19.
- The theater opens from 11:30 - 12:50 for tea ceremony. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance to enjoy the tea service. Admission to the tea ceremony will close 10 minutes prior to the start of the performance time. There is no admission after the viewing. If you cannot make it in time for the viewing, you can still take souvenirs with you.
Eligibility:
- All participants must be 10 years old or older.
- This is ticket only, not a tour.
- Drinking alcohol during the show is not allowed.
- Please note that bringing large luggage to the theater.
- Theater do not have parking facilities available. We recommend using public transportation.
