Seven Hells of Beppu The Seven Hells of Beppu, or Jigoku Meguri, are a series of unique geothermal hot spring attractions in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, Japan. ② Oniishibozu Jigoku (Shaven Monk’s Head Hell) Known for bubbling gray mud pools resembling monks' shaved heads. Offers a circular foot bath fed by clear hot spring water.

③ Shiraike Jigoku (White Pond Hell) A milky white-green pond surrounded by serene gardens. Includes a tropical fish aquarium heated by the hot springs.

④ Kamado Jigoku (Cooking Pot Hell) Features various colorful hot springs and steam used for cooking food. You can try steamed eggs, vegetables, and even drink hot spring water or enjoy foot baths.

⑤ Oniyama Jigoku (Monster Mountain Hell) Home to crocodiles thriving in the warm environment created by the geothermal heat.

⑥ Tatsumaki Jigoku (Tornado Hell) A geyser that erupts every 30–40 minutes, shooting water up to 30 meters high. The site includes a small souvenir shop offering local specialties.
