Eligibility
1. Travelers must hold a passport issued by a foreign government.
2. Entry to Japan must be under the "Temporary Visitor" status, as defined by Japanese immigration law.
How to Use
1. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address after booking. ( MUST BE exchanged for a physical pass within 3 months of purchase.)
2. Retrieve your physical ticket at green ticket-vending machines by scanning the QR code from your e-ticket along with your non-Japanese passport. The machine interface is available in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or Korean.

- Reserved seat tickets can be exchanged an unlimited number of times. However, starting from the 7th exchange, you will need to manually reserve your tickets at the green ticket window.

- A confirmation email will be sent to your designated email address once the booking is completed. You must exchange it for a physical pass at a vending machine or JR Ticket Office within 90 days.

- Eligibility:
- Rail pass users must hold a passport issued by a foreign government.
- Users must enter Japan under the "短期滞在 (Temporary Visitor)" status as defined by Japanese immigration law.
- Purchase Restrictions:
- Individual customers cannot purchase or exchange more than one of the same pass for the same usage period.
- Passes are available for purchase and use year-round.
Exchange and Validity:
- Present your passport when you receive the pass.
- The pass is valid for consecutive days starting from the date specified at redemption.
- Passes must be redeemed within 5 days of the specified start date and used before expiration.
Lost or Stolen Passes: Passes cannot be reissued under any circumstances.
- Operational Disruptions: Delays or suspensions due to weather or other conditions do not entitle the user to extensions or refunds.

注意事項
Usage:
- Passes are non-transferable and valid only for the named holder.
- Passengers must carry their passport with the rail pass and present it upon request by JR staff.
Validity Period:
- The pass is valid from 0:00 on the start day to 24:00 on the last day (JST).
- If traveling past the expiration time on the last day, the pass remains valid for fare coverage until the next day if the station is not exited, and for ticket fees until disembarkation.
Conditions of Use:
- Usage is governed by JR-West’s Conditions of Carriage and Japanese law.
- Exchange order terms are subject to the regulations of the issuing company.
- In case of discrepancies between translations, the Japanese version of the Conditions of Carriage prevails.
Limitations:
- The type of ticket cannot be changed after purchase.
- Extensions of the validity period are not allowed due to train delays or suspensions.
Redemption and Expiry:
- Inform JR staff of your intended start date at redemption.
- The pass cannot be used after expiration, and validity periods cannot be modified.
General Notices:
- Weather or unforeseen conditions may affect train operations. Passholders should account for potential delays or disruptions.
- Starting May 20, 2020, passengers bringing baggage with dimensions totaling more than 160 cm but less than 250 cm on three sides (oversized baggage) on Sanyo Shinkansen are required to reserve a seat with an oversized baggage area. Shinkansen passengers with oversized baggage may use a reserved seating JR-WEST RAIL PASS and a section ticket, or a separate Unlimited Ride Oversized Baggage Ticket (available for purchase at JR-West Ticket Offices in major JR-West stations) if using a non-reserved seating JR-WEST RAIL PASS. Please ask a station attendant for more details.
