<The hida Satoyama Cycling: Half Tour>
This is a private, 2.5-hour cycling tour that offers a compact taste of the satoyama's charm, covering a distance of approximately 12km. The route is mostly flat, and since it's a private tour, you can cycle at your own pace without worrying about other guests.
It's highly recommended for families and couples who want to enjoy a relaxed and leisurely experience. Beyond the rice fields and farms, the Japanese Alps spread out before you. The beautiful satoyama scenery, which changes with each season, is truly restorative.
🌸Spring: Rice paddies are filled with water, reflecting the surrounding mountains. 🌞Summer: The mountains, rice paddies, and fields are a dazzling green, and the rivers reflect the blue sky. 🍂Autumn: Golden rice stalks sway in the breeze.

予約前の確認事項
・This tour is guided in English. ・This tour requires you to be able to ride a bicycle. If you haven't ridden one in a while, please be sure you can ride comfortably before you join. For children, please confirm they have at least one year of experience riding a bicycle without training wheels. ・For the Private Half Tour, children between 2 and 6 years old, under 110 cm tall and weighing up to 20 kg, can use a child seat. However, if we determine that it's not safe for them to ride on the day of the tour, we may have to refuse their participation. ・A water dispenser is available at the reception desk (inside SATOYAMA STAY NINO-MACHI). You are welcome to use it before and after your tour. To help reduce plastic waste, we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle. Thank you for your cooperation. ・Note that we have no children’s rates for private tours
- Tour participants must be able to ride a mountain bike. We recommend that guests without recent experience of riding a mountain bike familiarize themselves through training rides before their trip.
- Children under 12 years old should have sufficient recent experience of riding a bike without training wheels. If we believe that a tour participant is a risk to themselves and others through inability to safely ride and control a bike,we may decide that participation in the tour is not appropriate.
- Tour participants must wear clothing suitable both for cycling and the weather
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled tour start time. All tours depart on time and we cannot wait for latecomers.
- In Japan, it is not recommended for pregnant women to ride a bike.
- Parents utilizing a child seat should be experienced cyclists and Ideally have prior experience of riding with a child seat.
- For safety reasons, we have a weight limit of 120kg (100kg for some E-bikes) per participant.
About Summer Cycling Tours In recent years, the probability of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening has been quite high during July and August. If a thunderstorm advisory is issued, or if lightning is seen or thunder is heard, we will switch to a walking tour to ensure the safety of our guests. Thank you for your understanding.
