- The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of the famous mountain sightseeing routes that goes through the Northern Japan Alps, often referred to as the "Roof of Japan." This spectacular route connects Tateyama in Toyama Prefecture and Ogizawa in Nagano Prefecture.
- Kurobe Dam Kurobe Dam is a monumental structure that serves as one of the most famous highlights along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The Sightseeing Water Discharge (from late June to mid-October) is a grand spectacle, releasing over 10 tons of water per second.
