This 2-day tour from Nagoya combines one of Hokuriku’s most spectacular summer fireworks events with cultural sightseeing and a convenient stay in central Kanazawa.
Experience the Hokkoku Grand Fireworks Festival Kawakita, one of the largest in the Hokuriku region, featuring approximately 20,000 fireworks. Enjoy dynamic displays such as continuous star mines and powerful No.10 shell bursts. The highlight is the grand finale “2,000-shot star mine,” which lights up the night sky like daylight. The open riverside setting allows you to fully feel the powerful sound and light from every direction.
The event is held alongside the Kawakita Festival, where a towering 40-meter “O-Kagaribi” bonfire burns dramatically against the night sky. Traditional performances such as taiko drumming and ceremonial fire rituals create an energetic and unforgettable festival atmosphere.
Stay overnight at a centrally located hotel in Kanazawa, offering easy access to major attractions. On the morning of Day 2, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Visit Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, and Kanazawa Castle Park, both within walking distance. You may also visit the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, known for its interactive and innovative exhibitions.
Continue to Higashi Chaya District, a beautifully preserved historical area with traditional wooden townhouses, and Omicho Market, the lively “kitchen of Kanazawa,” where you can enjoy local specialties and fresh seafood for lunch (not included).
