At this special edition of the Fire Festival, you’ll feel the full intensity of the tezutsu fireworks from close-range S-seat seating.

About Tezutsu Fireworks
Originating in Toyohashi, tezutsu fireworks are a unique tradition of the Higashi-Mikawa region. A section of moso bamboo, roughly 80 cm long and 10 cm in diameter, is reinforced with rope and filled with black powder made from saltpeter, sulfur, charcoal, and iron filings (approx. 1.8–3 kg).
The performer cradles the bamboo in both arms, shooting out a massive column of fire. The performance culminates with an explosive finale called the "Hane", where flames burst from the bottom with a thunderous roar. These fireworks are traditionally offered to the gods in hopes of good harvests, health, family fortune, and martial success.
Important Notes
- Umbrellas are not allowed in seating areas. Please bring a raincoat.
- The event will proceed in light rain, but may be canceled in case of heavy rain, strong winds, or weather warnings.
- Any cancellation will be announced by 15:00 on the day of the event.
- Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not allowed in the viewing area.
- Please avoid holding up smartphones or cameras above head level to ensure visibility for everyone.

- Gamagori is known for producing rich, flavorful mikan thanks to its warm climate, nestled between the sea and mountains. The fruit grown here is prized for its perfect balance of sweetness and tartness.

- Opened in 2019, this is one of the largest roadside stations in Aichi Prefecture. It attracts over 2 million visitors annually and is a popular stop for local gourmet food and shopping.
