The following are highlights of the guided tour.
1. Preparation & Kick-off Your journey begins at the Kitsuki Furusato Sangyo-kan (Regional Information & Industry Center). After a quick check-in for your rental bike, our staff will provide a safety briefing and instructions on how to handle the equipment. Once you're ready, we’ll pedal out through the tranquil streets of the historic samurai district.
2. Scenic Heights: Shiroyama Park Our first stop is Shiroyama Park. Nestled in nature, this hilltop park offers a majestic view of Kitsuki Castle. It’s one of the most popular spots for photography—don't forget to capture the castle framed by the seasonal colors!
3. Timeless Elegance: Hitomatsu Mansion Next, we cycle to Hitotsu-Matsu Mansion, a symbol of Kitsuki’s samurai heritage. Here, you can immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere of traditional Japanese architecture and gardens.
4. Coastal Lunch: Seafood BBQ (Meal costs are at the customer's own expense) We head to the waterfront for a premium Seafood BBQ. Enjoying fresh, locally-sourced ingredients while feeling the refreshing sea breeze that satisfies both the appetite and the soul.
5. Breezy Ride & Local Sweets After lunch, we cross the Kitsuki Bridge—a perfect spot to soak in the expansive ocean views. We’ll stop at Suehiromaru to rest and enjoy their famous specialty Shirasu soft-serve ice cream, recharging for the final leg of our adventure.
6. Return & Optional Kimono Experience We conclude the ride back at the Kitsuki Furusato Sangyokan to return the bikes.
