Before the Nagoya Grand Sumo, join this tour to watch the morning practice! Here the sumo wrestlers can be seen from up close. In the end, the participants can take a photo with real sumo wrestlers!
Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament (Ozumo Nagoya Basho)
Six major Sumo tournaments are held every year in Japan, and Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament is one of the tournaments. Nagoya holds the Sumo event in mid-July at Aichi International Arena (IG Arena, opening this summer), which is near Nagoya Castle. The IG Arena is opening this summer, making it hugely popular with Japanese fans! This means chances to watch sumo in Nagoya are even harder to get than usual this year!
Kokonoe-Beya
In 2016, former Ozeki –Chiyotaikai- took over 14th Kokonoe and succeeded the room. Chiyotaikai is also from this Kokonoe-Beya. Following the predecessor’s will, 14th Kokonoe guides and directs his apprentices under severe training and discipline aiming. In Japan, there are 4 branches(Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka).

Notes on viewing 1. In the room, set the mobile phone to manner mode, please refrain from calling. 2. While training, please refrain from talking and pay special attention to small children when you accompany with. 3. Camera shooting while practicing is possible, but please note that it is forbidden to move from your seat or stand up. In addition, cameras which give the shutter sounds and using the flashes are not allowed. 4. There is no parking lot for guests. Please use the public parking or public transportation. 5. Avoid excessive attire and fancy clothes, and remove hat / sunglasses 6. Please follow the guidance from our guide while touring. If you cannot observe above, there is the case you may leave.

・Children up to 2 years old are free of charge; fees apply from 3 years old. (Children themselves are not allowed to participate this plan.) ・We might cancel the tour if we do not have at least 8 participants. ・Visitors 3 years old and up must have an admission ticket.
