In winter, the flowing water turns into blue icicles, and the splashes are blown up by the cold wind to create a distinctive shape resembling hoarfrost.Behind the waterfall is the snow-white Shiretoko mountain range, and during the drift ice berthing season, a magnificent drift ice field spreads below.
On the way to Furepe Falls, you can put on snowshoes and find traces of wild animals such as Ezo deer, Ezo squirrels, flying squirrels, etc. drawn on the snow of the forest. Focus on shaping.The snow cover and snowshoes allow visitors to explore areas that are inaccessible during the summer season, but the range of activities is expanded by the snow cover and the use of snowshoes.
This tour allows you to enjoy the spectacular scenery typical of Shiretoko, explore the virgin forest on snowshoes, and play in the snow all at the same time. Snowshoes are magical tools that aid in walking on snow. In order to efficiently walk on the snow, it is designed to have a wider contact area than "Kanjiki". - You will walk about 2 hours and half in snowing forest. Please wear warm clothes. Long pants, a sweater, fleece jacket, and waterproofjacket and pants on top. Woolen gloves, woollen cap, neck warmer, thick socksand sunglasses or goggles to keep you from cold.
- Please refrain from consuming alcohol immediately before the tour, and refrain from consuming alcohol, smoking during the tour.
