Nakasendo

Nakasendo Trail is a route that connects Edo(present-day Tokyo) and Kyoto, where Samurai used to walk along this trail. It remains the views of ancient times and lets you to feel like you are going on a samurai journey, so hiking on Nakasendo trail is very popular among overseas tourists!


Mitake-juku

The townscape still retains strong traces of the past, such as the remains of the main inn and the bamboo merchant houses.

Mimi (ear) - Jinja shrine This is a rare shrine built on a rocky mountain along the Nakasendo road, and is said to have powers to cure ear disease.

Okute-juku

Marumori (former Morioka Noriyuki's family residence) It was built at he end of the Edo period. It retains its Edo machiya style,(Edo townhouse) and you can feel the atmosphere of a properous inn and merchant house at that time.
