  • Historic "Kaneyu" Complex Step back in time at this former high-end Japanese restaurant (Ryotei). Built using strictly selected natural Akita Cedar—which is now protected and cannot be logged—this building is a registered Tangible Cultural Property.

The Experience

On this afternoon walking tour, a local guide will take you on a "pilgrimage" to these sacred basketball sites, including street art and monuments. You will also visit the "Kaneyu" Former Ryotei, a magnificent wooden complex built with rare natural Akita Cedar, symbolizing the city's history as a wood industry hub.

  • 02:00Weekday Meeting Time: 14:00 Tour of Noshiro Station Exhibits View basketball monuments, themed manhole covers, and other local scenery. (Note: A separate admission fee of approx. 150 JPY is required to enter the station platform.)
  • 14:30Visit Noshiro Basketball Museum
  • 15:05Visit Former Ryotei "Kaneyu" & Hachiman Shrine (Note: If the facility is closed for private events, we will view the building from the outside only.)
  • 16:00Visit Noshiro Science and Technology High School (Note: Viewing of basketball practice is subject to availability. If unavailable, the tour will be limited to the school exterior.)
  • 16:55Return to Noshiro Tourism Information Center (Tour Ends)
