Historic "Kaneyu" Complex Step back in time at this former high-end Japanese restaurant (Ryotei). Built using strictly selected natural Akita Cedar—which is now protected and cannot be logged—this building is a registered Tangible Cultural Property.
The Experience
On this afternoon walking tour, a local guide will take you on a "pilgrimage" to these sacred basketball sites, including street art and monuments. You will also visit the "Kaneyu" Former Ryotei, a magnificent wooden complex built with rare natural Akita Cedar, symbolizing the city's history as a wood industry hub.
