Located in the city of Shimonoseki, Japan, Karato Fish Market is known as “Sekimon's Kitchen” and is famous for its fresh seafood. The market hosts events from Friday to Sunday and on national holidays, where visitors can try fresh seafood such as sashimi and sushi at open-air stalls, especially the local specialty, blowfish.

Originally built in 1955, Motonosumi Inari Shrine is said to have been constructed under the divine command of a white fox spirit, and its continuous red torii have become one of Yamaguchi's most famous attractions.

Mojiko Retro Area Opened in 1889, Moji Port is an international trading port located in the northernmost part of Kyushu. The port was once a major transportation hub, and western-style buildings such as shipping companies and trading houses sprang up around the port. The area has been restored and repaired to become the “Mojiko Retro Area”. In addition to the symbolic Mojiko Station, the old Moji Mitsui Club, where Einstein stayed, and the old Kyushu Railway Headquarters (now the Kyushu Railway Memorial Museum) have been preserved and are open to the public.

In the surrounding area, there are many souvenir stores and dining facilities for tourists.

Ferry Experience - Sekimon Kotsu Ferry This is a 700-meter wide strait between Shimonoseki City and the eastern and western parts of Moji Ward in Kitakyushu City. This strait was always the stage when the Japanese nation changed greatly from the Middle Ages to modern times. At present, about 700 ships of various sizes come and go, and the sound of the sea and the sound of the siren that harmoniously colors the scenery are selected by the Agency for the Environment as one of the “100 choices of the sound scenery of Japan that I would like to leave behind”.

Karato Fish Market You can experience the bustle of a Japanese fishing market and visit the auction site. The first floor of Karato Market will be completely transformed into a seafood restaurant street, “Vibrant Marzan Street”. You can enjoy a wide range of fresh ingredients such as sushi, miso soup, deep-fried dishes, and of course, puffer fish sashimi, so if you like seafood or Japanese cuisine, you can't miss this place!

Kakushima Bridge Opened in 2000 (Heisei 12), the Kakushima Bridge is one of the longest bridges in Japan (1,780 meters). The bridge is located on Kakushima Island, which is far away from land, and is an ordinary road that can be used by vehicles free of charge.

Kakushima Bridge crosses the cobalt-blue sea, which is unique to Kaisuse. Its majestic appearance, which blends in with the surrounding scenery, has made Kakushima Bridge one of the top scenic spots in the North Nagato Coast area.

Motonosumi Inari Shrine This shrine was built in 1955 from the spirit of Inari Shrine in Taiko Valley, Tsuwano-machi, Shimane Prefecture, following the oracle of the white fox.

Originally, it was a shrine that blessed prosperous business, good fisheries, and safety at sea, but later it was also responsible for marriage, children, good luck and disaster relief, good fortune, traffic safety, success in school, and the fulfillment of wishes.

On the way to the shrine from the Ryukyu Shiosai site, there are 123 red torii, which are very impressive. When you look closely at the torii on the platform of the shrine, the box is actually above your head! It is said that if you put money into the box, your wish will be granted.
