◆Nagasaki Lantern Festival The Nagasaki Lantern Festival, which began in 1987 as an event to celebrate the Chinese New Year, is a major winter tradition in Nagasaki. For 18 days from February 6 (Fri.) to February 23 (Mon.), 2026, the center of Nagasaki City will be enveloped in the colors of Chinese lanterns, Approximately 15,000 Chinese lanterns will colorfully illuminate the city center of Nagasaki. Many Chinese lanterns will illuminate the city in bright colors.
◆Nagasaki Castella Izumiya A specialty castella shop located in Okamachi, Nagasaki City. We offer Nagasaki castella baked using eggs exclusively from contracted poultry farms in the Unzen region and the skilled techniques of master craftsmen, as well as castella sweets like “Nagasaki Shokoraato” featuring bitter chocolate, and “KIREIKA,” a two-layered confection combining red bean paste and castella.
This tour is conducted in Japanese. The tour conductor will provide language support using a translation device (Pocketalk).
Participants are required to bring their own smartphone with an internet connection and earphones (optional for audio translation).
