- Koyasan is the sacred center of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism, founded by Kobo Daishi (Kukai) in the early Heian period. It is also known as one of Japan’s Three Great Sacred Sites, along with Osorezan in Aomori and Mount Hiei in Shiga.
- At an elevation of around 800 meters, Koyasan is 5–10°C cooler than the city, making it a refreshing summer retreat.

Admire around 100,000 hydrangeas blooming in the Sky Hydrangea Garden
- This scenic spot is home to around 3,500 hydrangea bushes and nearly 100,000 colorful blooms.
- Due to its high elevation, the hydrangeas bloom later than usual and can be enjoyed from early July.
- Koyasan’s mountainous terrain also creates frequent mist, giving the hydrangeas a mystical and serene atmosphere. The tour will operate regardless of hydrangea blooming conditions.
