The Kashima Gatalympic Since 1984. It's a uniquely muddy event—one of a kind in the world! The Kashima Gatalympic unfold on the vast tidal flats of the Ariake Sea, boasting Japan's largest tidal range (a whopping 6 meters!).
This tour is designed for both domestic and international traveler, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably without language barriers.

The Experience
This tour is designed for participation in the “Kashima Gatalympic.
On the day of the tour, we will depart from Hakata Station and proceed directly to the venue, “Roadside Station Kashima Gatalympic Venue.”
During the lunch period, boxed lunches and tea will be distributed to all participants.
Following the opening ceremony, participants will watch the various events, take part in the group event “25m Freestyle Gata,”
- A timed race covering 25m. Running is fine, swimming is fine, crawling on all fours is fine—anything goes. Charge ahead aiming for first place! Divisions include children, women, and men.
After the event concludes, use the shared facilities for showers and changing before returning to the bus.
The tour itinerary also includes time for purchasing souvenirs at Roadside Station Kashima and Kashima-hama Sake Brewery Street.

- We cannot be held liable for compensation due to mud stains.
- Mud cannot be brought onto the bus.

Important Information Meeting Time: 08:45 Departure Time: 09:00 Meeting Place: In front of LAWSON on the 1st Floor of Hakata Station Chikushi Gate Oriental Hotel Note: The bus departs on time, and there is no refund if you come late and can't board the bus. To ensure safety, please wear your seat belt while driving.
Upon arrival at the Gatalympic venue, the bus will proceed to a remote parking area and will remain inaccessible until the end of the event. Please ensure you take all valuables and necessary clothing with you. For your convenience, your guide or our staff will be available to look after these items during the competition.

- The venue is equipped with hot water showers.
- There are no restrictions on participants' attire. Unique outfits are also welcome.
- We will provide free rental tabi socks for participants.
- The number of tabi socks is limited. Please return them promptly to the designated return area after competing.
- Tabis are only available in sizes 22cm to 28cm. Small children and those with foot sizes outside this range should bring thick socks that can get dirty.
- Walking barefoot on the tidal flats carries a risk of injury from broken shells and other debris.
