The Experience
Chikubu Island Chikubu Island is an uninhabited island in Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, and was registered as a Japanese Heritage Site in 2016. It has long been called “an island of mystery and romance.
Biwako Terrace Enjoy overwhelmingly grand views of Lake Biwa, which is the largest lake in Japan, from an altitude of 1,100 m. To reach the top of the mountain, you will take a ropeway.
Omi Jingu Shrine Omi Jingu Shrine is famous for karuta (Japanese playing cards), and is sometimes used for weddings and other traditional Japanese events. Enjoy the colorful gate and the mystical atmosphere of the natural surroundings.
Dinner Dinner will be served at Lake Biwa Hotel. The chef will fry tempura using seasonal ingredients in front of you and pair the dish with sake famous in Shiga Prefecture.
