The Drift Ice Walk is a special experience of walking on drift ices floating on the Okhotsk Sea. You will wear a special dry suit, and Japanese speaking guide will lead the way with checking for safety, to step on and walking on the drift ices about 1km. Since drift ice is a natural phenomenon, route and degree of difficulty varies depending on the conditions. Please note that there is a risk of falling or injuring yourself due to the slippery ice, and understand that you will be in a group during the tour. Book early for this unforgettable experience!

Height and weight of all participants are required information at the time of reservation, as dry suits are worn. The tours are offered during the stable period of drift ice from February to March. However, depending on the conditions and movements of drift ice, and weather conditions, the tours may be cancelled or offered only "near shore" tours. Tour fee includes accidentequipment rental (dry suits and snowshoes), and tax. We recommend that you purchase your own disability insurance. Tours are by reservation only. Guests arriving by public transportation should be aware of the tour start time. Basically, morning tours are available only if you stay in Utoro (except for Eagle Liner).The end time may be delayed due to weather and other factors. Please allow plenty of time for your visit. Tours will be held even in the event of rain, so please bring rain gear (rain wear/ponchos). Please make sure to inform us in advance if you have any chronic illnesses, medical conditions or disabilities that require attention. Without prior notice, participants may be asked not to participate on the day of the event for safety reasons. Please refrain from participating in the tour if you are pregnant or have been drinking. Please follow the guide's instructions for your own safety during the tour. If the guide determines that participation in the tour is unsafe due to a guest's physical condition or clothing on the day of the tour, the guide may ask the guest to refrain from participating in the tour. Tours may be changed or cancelled at the discretion of the guide due to weather, brown bear presence, road conditions, or the physical fitness of the guests. You are responsible for any breakage, damage or loss of your personal belongings during the tour.
About Tour Period The ice will come during first week on FEB. The possibility that a tour is held by the end of January is very low. *About Ryuhyo(ICE) walk tour. Our dry suits is a product for people that more than our 130 centimeters. So, we can't accept it who less than 130 cm join the Ice walking tour. We will check the kid's height before the tour. It’s become canceled if kid's height is smaller than 130 cm. And you need to pay for canceling.
