Purchase Notice
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before completing your booking. By purchasing this package, you agree to all the policies outlined below.
1. Shinkansen (Bullet Train) Tickets & Seat Arrangements
- Standard Schedule: We will arrange morning Shinkansen seats departing from Tokyo Station between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
- Ticket Issuance & How to Collect: Please note that you cannot board the train using only a digital QR code. You will need to exchange your QR code for physical paper tickets at a JR Ticket Vending Machine before boarding. A detailed step-by-step guide on how and where to exchange your tickets will be provided in your Final Itinerary email.
Optionally, if you prefer to skip the station queues, you can select our paid "Shinkansen Ticket Delivery to Hotel" add-on at checkout to have your physical tickets delivered directly to your hotel in advance.
- Final Confirmation: JR Shinkansen seat reservations open exactly 1 month prior to the travel date. Your Final Itinerary, complete with confirmed train schedules and hotel details, will be sent to your registered email address approximately 20 days prior to your departure.
- Oversized Baggage Option (Highly Recommended): According to JR regulations, passengers bringing oversized baggage (such as large suitcases or gear bags where the total dimensions—length + width + height—exceed 160 cm) must secure a "Reserved Seat with an Oversized Baggage Area.
How to Book: If you are traveling with large luggage or ski gear bags, you must select the "Oversized Baggage" paid option at the time of booking. We highly recommend booking this option at least 1 month prior to your departure date to ensure availability.
Onboard Penalty Fee: Please note that bringing oversized baggage onto the train without a prior reservation will result in a ¥1,000 onboard penalty fee (charged by the JR conductor), and your baggage will be relocated away from your seat.
Refund Policy: Due to the peak ski season, these specialized seats are extremely limited. In the unlikely event that all seats are fully booked and we are unable to secure your space, the paid option fee for the oversized baggage will be fully refunded to you.
2. Accommodation Policy (Accommodations & Hotel Tiers)
- Tier-Based Booking: The hotel assigned to your tour will be determined based on your selected tier (Standard or Superior Class). Specific hotels cannot be requested or chosen at the time of booking. The final assigned hotel will be officially notified in your Final Itinerary.

3. Child & Infant Policy (Based on Age at Time of Travel)
- Adult (Ages 12 and over): Full rate applies. Includes an individual Shinkansen seat and a hotel bed.
- Child (Ages 6–11): Includes an individual Shinkansen seat (at the JR child rate) and a hotel bed.
- Toddler (Ages 3–5): Includes a hotel bed. No individual Shinkansen seat is provided; the child must sit on an adult's lap during the train journey. (If you wish to secure a separate, individual Shinkansen seat for a toddler, please book them under the "Child (Ages 6–11)" category at the time of booking.)
- Infant (Ages 0–2): Free of charge. No individual Shinkansen seat or hotel bed is provided. The infant must sit on an adult's lap on the train and share a bed with an adult at the hotel (co-sleeping).
Booking Requirement: All bookings must include at least one Adult (Ages 12 and over). Reservations consisting only of children, toddlers, or infants cannot be accepted.
4. Optional Ski/Snowboard Rental Add-on
- Included Items: Standard rental sets booked as an optional add-on include Skis, Poles & Boots OR a Snowboard & Boots for the duration of your stay. Plus, as an exclusive benefit for this tour, a helmet is also included free of charge!
- Excluded Items: Ski clothing (jackets/pants) and accessories (goggles, gloves, beanies) are not included. These can be rented independently at the resort venues for an additional fee.
- Sizing: While our partner facilities carry a comprehensive range of sizes, daily availability is subject to stock. If you have specific or uncommon size requirements, please inform us in the "Remarks" section when booking so we can better accommodate you.
5. Exclusions (Not Included in the Package Price)
- Lift Tickets and Round-Trip Resort Buses (between Nagano Station and the individual ski resorts) are not included in this package. This allows you the freedom to choose your destination each day and pay only for the resorts you visit. Please purchase these locally.
Important Booking Information
Travel HUB Nagano City Hours & Luggage Pickup Please note the operating hours for Travel HUB Nagano City: luggage storage is available from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and ski/board rental from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Please ensure you collect your stored luggage before 6:00 PM on your final day to catch your return Shinkansen.
Cash Reminder Please carry sufficient Japanese Yen (cash) as some local resort buses, small restaurants, and mountain facilities may not accept credit cards.
Shinkansen Punctuality If you miss your scheduled Shinkansen, your seat reservation will become invalid. You may only ride in the non-reserved cars of subsequent trains on the same day. Please arrive at Tokyo Station at least 20–30 minutes prior to departure.
Travel Insurance We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers winter sports and skiing/snowboarding activities before your trip.
Passport Requirement Please carry your physical passport with you at all times, as it is required for hotel check-in and standard identification.
