Byodo-in Omotesando Omotesando Street, a street where many tourists come and go, is located between Uji Bridge and Byodoin Temple, a distance of about 200 meters. On both sides of the street, there are various stores such as Uji tea specialty stores, sweets stores, restaurants, cafes, Kyoto cuisine, and souvenir shops.
Byodo-in Temple It came to be called "Phoenix Hall" around the beginning of the Edo period (1603-1867) because of the pair of phoenix statues set on the roof. Its most significant feature is that it is built on the middle island of a pond. It reflects its beautiful appearance on the surface of the pond, as if it were a palace floating in the "Treasure Pond" of paradise.
Byodoin Temple Museum Hoshokan Within the Byodo-in Temple precincts is a museum that houses many national treasures and important cultural properties.

- This is a private tour. Only your group will participate.
- You can customize it as you like. If you have any requests please let us know in advance.
- If you want to change your schedule even on the tour day, your guide is always happy to help you.
- You can skip the spot where you don't go (※in this case we do not refund any fees) or change it with another place.
- If you add some new spots by your request, please pay the ticket fee on the spot. (Note that you may need to pay extra transportation fee)
- Infants (under 2 years old) can join tour but must sit on laps
- About the Tea Picking Experience Only once a year during the tea picking season, scheduled from April 13 (Sat) to May middle of a month, ending as soon as the sprouts are finished. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled at 5:00 p.m. on the day before the event, if the weather forecast for Uji City is 70% or higher. In that case, the event will be replaced with a matcha making experience at the Sankyuan Tea House.
