Escaping the summer heat with Kawadoko (riverside terrace dining) is one of Kyoto’s most cherished seasonal traditions. We invite you to experience this magical atmosphere at Momiji-ya, a historic establishment founded in 1907. Set against traditional, nostalgic architecture found nowhere else, you will enjoy a breeze by the river while savoring exquisite, authentic Japanese cuisine crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients.
Tour Schedule & Details: 10:50 / 11:00 – Complimentary shuttle bus pickup from JR Hanazono Station or Subway Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station. 11:30 – 14:30 – Indulge in a beautiful 3-hour traditional Japanese dining experience by the river. 15:00 – Drop-off back at the station.
