Spring in Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Means "Snow Otani"!
At an altitude of 2,450m near Murodo, the area known as "Otani" is a heavy snowfall zone, where the road-clearing process creates towering snow walls reaching up to 20 meters high. This awe-inspiring sight is only available during this season – don’t miss the chance to witness it!

Note: Transportation along the Alpine Route may be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, preventing through-travel. In such cases, the Alpine Route fee will be refunded, and an alternative sightseeing destination will be provided.

About the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route:
If traveling by bus, please note that it will not be a tour bus. For both train and bus travel, luggage (excluding valuables) must be stored at the hotel front desk at checkout. Luggage will be loaded onto the tour bus after departure and returned to you at Ogizawa Station after the Alpine Route tour.
Departure times on the second day will vary based on your reservation time for the Alpine Route (departure will be between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; confirmation on the day). Arrival times will also depend on the Alpine Route reservation time.
Due to adverse weather conditions, transport along the Alpine Route may be suspended, preventing passage. In such cases, a refund for the Alpine Route fee will be issued, and alternative sightseeing destinations will be provided.
This tour involves more changes in transport modes (elevators, stairs, and walking) than other courses. Please be prepared.
Snow Otani Walk is available from April 15 to June 25. Even during this period, events may be canceled due to bad weather. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.
During the Snow Otani period, temperatures around Murodo can drop below freezing. As you will be walking in the snow, please wear warm clothing and waterproof, comfortable shoes. Snow glare at Murodo can be intense, so we recommend bringing sunglasses.
Luggage: We can store your luggage on the bus, but you are responsible for managing your valuables.
