■ Yakushima Island Yakushima is a beautiful world heritage island. The most famous is Yakusugi or Cedar, but there are many precious animals and creatures that can only be seen on the island. The cedar forest contains some of Japan oldest living trees more than 1000 years old, and the most ancient may be over 7000 years old.
