Exclusive from October 8 to 11! "Mizuekai" is famous as a venue where Geiko and Maiko perform the artistic skills they polish every day. Please enjoy a graceful stage performance centered on classical works.
The Mizuekai performance temporarily came to an end in 1971, but was revived in 2006 after an interval of 35 years. Since then, it has held for a period of four days with a program of selected classical Japanese song and dance.
The repertoire and performers change with the day.
The performers showcase the results of their year's worth of preparation for displaying the arts of Miyagawa Cho.
On each day, the performance closes with “Miyagawa Kouta” which has a distinctive depth even in the midst of its gorgeous pageant.
The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes. Performings take place between October 8, 2026, and October 11, 2026, as follows:
Doors Open: Doors open 30 minutes before each performance.
Age Restriction: Children under 10 years old are not allowed to enter.
Product Details: This includes the entry ticket only. Tour services (such as a guide) are not included.
Luggage: Please refrain from bringing large luggage into the venue.
Access: No parking is available at the venue. Please use public transportation (train or bus). Coming by car or motorcycle is strictly prohibited.
