atsuta nagaya : Atsuta nagaya is a traditional Japanese townhouse (machiya) located in the Atsuta area of Nagoya. It has been renovated and repurposed into a complex that houses various shops, cafes, and restaurants. It aims to blend traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern functionality, offering a unique cultural and commercial experience.
Atsuta Jingu:Atsuta Jingu is a highly revered Shinto shrine located in Nagoya, Japan. Its primary significance lies in being the traditional repository of the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, a legendary sacred sword and one of the Three Imperial Regalia of Japan. While the sword itself is never displayed to the public, the shrine has a large and impressive collection of other historical treasures, including many samurai swords, in its Treasure Hall. Millions of people visit Atsuta Jingu annually to experience its tranquil atmosphere, ancient trees, and rich history.
Osu Shopping Street: Osu Shopping Street is a huge, vibrant shopping district located in Nagoya City. You'll find every kind of shop imaginable there, from youth fashion, vintage clothing, electronics, and anime goods, to international cuisine and traditional Japanese stores. It has a unique atmosphere, blending old and new, Japanese and Western, and it's also very popular with both locals and tourists for its great street food. The area developed around Osu Kannon Temple.
Nagoya Castle: Nagoya Castle is Nagoya's iconic landmark castle, built by Ieyasu Tokugawa in the early Edo period. It's famous for its golden shachihoko (mythical carp-like creatures) on the roof and once flourished as the residence of the Owari Tokugawa family. Although much of it was destroyed during World War II, the main keep and other structures have since been rebuilt, and the lavish Honmaru Palace has also been restored. It's a popular tourist spot where you can experience Nagoya's history and culture. ※Please note that currently, the main keep (Tenshukaku) is undergoing renovation, so it's not possible to go inside and climb to the top.
Kinshachi Yokocho is a commercial complex right next to Nagoya Castle, featuring a collection of restaurants and souvenir shops. It's packed with eateries where you can savor local Nagoya cuisine, and it's divided into two areas: the "Yoshinao Zone" and the "Muneharu Zone." It's the perfect place to stop for a meal or to find souvenirs when you visit Nagoya Castle.
