The Experience

Japanese Tea Picking Tea picking at the foot of Mount Fuji while gazing upon the great mountain. This plan includes tea picking and a stroll through the tea fields at either “Fuji Tea Park” or “Kansuke-zaka Tea Garden,” followed by a tour of the tea factory and a small tea ceremony. Experience brewing tea in a teapot, enjoy tasting teas in-store. Shop for souvenirs.(On-site individual payment) Enjoy tea picking and strolling through the tea fields while gazing at the majestic Mount Fuji.

Ryuganbuchi(龍巌淵)/ Uruigawakasenziki(潤井川河川敷) At Ryugan Bridge spanning the Uruigawa River, a 250-meter stretch of cherry trees lines the left bank. From Takido Bridge, you can enjoy a perfect view of the cherry blossoms, the Uruigawa River, and Mt. Fuji. Along the banks of the Uruigawa River, 350 Somei Yoshino cherry trees burst into beautiful bloom all at once. A famous cherry blossom viewing spot. The head temple, Taiseki-ji.(総本山大石寺) The head temple of Nichiren Shoshu is known as Tahofuji Dainichirenge-san Taiseki-ji, and was founded on October 12, 1290. Approximately 730 years of history. The grounds of Taiseki-ji Temple feature weeping cherry trees, Yoshino cherry trees, mountain cherry trees, double-flowered cherry trees, and moss phlox, which bloom sequentially from late March to mid-April. Visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms against the backdrop of Mount Fuji from locations such as Jōtōga Mine, Myōgion, and Hōshōen. In front of the Sutra Repository, you can see the Fujikiku cherry tree, designated as a Natural Monument of Fujinomiya City.

The Taiseki-ji Smart Guide is available at various locations throughout the head temple, Taiseki-ji. This service allows you to use your smartphone, tablet, or other device to scan QR codes and view multilingual explanations and photos about the temple grounds' historical sites and structures. (Some locations also feature seasonal and event photos, as well as photos of building interiors normally inaccessible to the public.) On the west side of the pagoda and the west side of Sōni-bō, there are shops, cafeterias, and coffee shops available for anyone to use. The shops are open on days when the temple doors are opened for worship (typically Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and holidays).

Language: This tour is conducted in English (guided by an English-speaking guide). Minimum Participants: The tour requires a minimum number of 30 participant. Bus Size: Depending on the number of participants, the coach size may vary (medium or small size). Japanese Law: As stipulated by the law of Japan, please wear your seat belt on the tour bus. Strict Departure Time: To ensure smooth operation, we kindly request you strictly adhere to the advised departure time. Departure Policy: The tour will depart at the scheduled time at the discretion of the tour guide. Latecomers: Please be advised that no refunds will be issued for latecomers. Schedule Changes: Scheduled times and contents are subject to change depending on road conditions. Lunch Menu: The lunch described above may have a different menu according to provisions/regulations. Cherry blossom: The event date is an estimate for peak cherry blossom viewing; the actual peak period may vary depending on weather conditions. (Reference: Full bloom in 2024 was around April 5th) Temple: You may freely explore the temple grounds, but entry into the main hall is restricted to members of the Nichiren Shoshu sect or those accompanied by a Nichiren Shoshu member. (The Treasure Hall is open to visitors regardless of Nichiren Shoshu affiliation.) Outdoor restrooms (some wheelchair accessible) are also available. Please use them with consideration for others. Tea picking: Please note that All-you-can-pack tea leaves purchases and tea ware purchases require individual payment on-site. Wear: Please wear clothing and footwear that can get dirty.

Tour Operation & Schedule

Strict adherence to meeting time is important. Please arrive at the designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The bus will depart at the scheduled time at the discretion of our staff. We cannot wait for late arrivals. If you miss the departure, the tour fee will not be refunded. Schedule/Itinerary Changes The scheduled times and itinerary details are subject to change due to traffic conditions, weather, or other unavoidable circumstances. Thank you for your understanding. Delays and Compensation In the unlikely event that the tour is significantly delayed, and you incur expenses such as a taxi fare or accommodation, we regret that our company cannot accept any claim for compensation. We strongly recommend leaving ample time for connections after the tour.

Vehicle Type Depending on the final number of participants, the tour may use a medium-sized or small bus instead of a large one.

Tour Cancellation

The tour may be subject to cancellation or itinerary changes if the minimum number of participants (usually 30 people, but please check your booking confirmation) is not met. We will inform you at least 3 days prior to the departure date. In cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, major accidents), the tour may be cancelled without prior notice. A full refund will be issued in such cases. Special Requests & Health issues Allergies and Dietary Needs: If you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions, please inform the person in charge when making your initial booking. While we will attempt to make arrangements to remove the corresponding ingredients where possible, we cannot guarantee full accommodation or avoidance of contamination, especially at non-designated restaurants or local eateries. We appreciate your understanding. Other Special Needs: If you require special assistance or arrangements (e.g., wheelchair access, assistance with small children), please inform us when booking. We will accommodate your request to the best of our ability. However, please note that some services may incur an additional charge. Refusal of Service/Requests: We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all requests for seating, hotel rooms (if applicable to the tour), or specific allergy arrangements. If we cannot meet a request, we will inform you in advance. Onboard Rules & Etiquette

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the bus. Please be mindful of the person behind you when you recline your seat. For safety reasons, the guide may advise against using the recliner on certain routes. When leaving the bus, even temporarily, please return your seat to the upright position. Luggage and Facilities:

The bus is not equipped with a restroom. The bus will make scheduled stops for bathroom breaks. Please limit your luggage to items that can be safely stored in the overhead bin or under your seat. If you need to store large luggage on the bus during the tour, please notify us in advance. Please note that some small vans cannot accommodate a lot of luggage.Assigned Seating: Bus seats will be assigned by the company. While we understand seating preferences, specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. In emergency situations, our tour conductor may sit in an otherwise empty seat next to you. Bringing pets of any kind is not permitted on the tour. (Excluding certified service animals, with prior notice.) Miscellaneous

Please be aware that no refunds or corresponding compensation can be provided for any complimentary benefits (e.g., entrance tickets, coupons) that you choose not to use. In accordance with Japan's "Work Style Reform Law," the conductor's working hours are legally restricted. Therefore, meal times during the itinerary will be designated as the tour conductor's rest period. During designated free time, you are generally expected to enjoy the activities on your own without a guide. Lost and found items will be held for two weeks after the tour ends. When contacting us about them, it will be helpful to tell us your seating position during the tour. Perishable items (e.g., food) or items that are difficult to store will be disposed of immediately. Please check carefully before leaving the bus.
