Kamikochi: A Breathtaking Mountain Retreat at 1,500 Meters
Located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Kamikochi is a scenic alpine valley sitting at an elevation of around 1,500 meters. As part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park, it has been designated both a Special Place of Scenic Beauty and a Special Natural Monument of Japan.
From the iconic Kappa Bridge, you can take in the stunning view of the Hotaka Mountain Range, towering at over 3,000 meters. Popular walking trails also lead to serene spots like Taisho Pond, Myojin Pond, and Tokusawa, offering incredible vistas of untouched nature.
