【Miwa Shuzou (Miwa Sake Brewery)】
A long-established brewery with around 200 years of history, famous for its premium Nigori (cloudy) sake. The brewery itself is recognized as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, serving as a classic example of Meiji-era architecture that beautifully preserves the historic townscape. Come and savor exceptional sake crafted with the utmost care—from the carefully selected brewing rice to the pristine, delicious spring water of Gifu.
【Sennari Sushi】
Enjoy delicious, hand-selected seafood sourced directly from the fish market by the owner every single morning. Driven by the passion to "serve truly exceptional sushi precisely because Gifu is landlocked," this beloved restaurant has been cherished by locals for over 70 years.
【Shiraki Kousuke Shoten (Shiraki Kousuke Sake Brewery)】
Founded in the late Edo period, this brewery is renowned for its aged sake (Koshu). The maturation process brings out a rich, mellow flavor packed with the natural sweetness of rice, accompanied by stunning golden and deep ruby hues. Signature bottles like the "3-Year Aged Sake" and their crafted Umeshu (plum liqueur) are smooth, easy to drink, and highly recommended even for those new to Japanese sake.
