What is the "Super Ogase"?
The Super Ogase is a spectacular fire festival featuring a massive, 20-meter-tall, 1-ton, leaf-shaped flaming torch that dramatically spins and dances above the sea. It’s a powerful and thrilling summer night event that sets the sky ablaze.
The original Ogase Fire Festival, still preserved in various parts of Oi Town, boasts over 300 years of tradition and is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset. Historically held over two nights to pray for fire prevention and a bountiful harvest, the festival involves constructing a towering 14-meter cypress pole with five horizontal crossbars arranged in a leaf shape. Bundles of reeds and pampas grass are tied to the ends and lit on fire.
Once ignited, the torch is stood upright atop a mountain, spun, raised, and dropped repeatedly in a breathtaking display of flames and power. The Super Ogase is a modern, grand-scale adaptation of this traditional ritual.
As the towering Super Ogase is brought crashing down, approximately 10,000 fireworks synchronized with music light up the Aoto Inlet, captivating the crowd and filling the venue with energy—bringing the spectacular Super Ogase festival to a grand finale.
The festival kicks off with energetic Yosakoi dance performances, followed by a dramatic torchlight procession and powerful taiko drumming by local performance teams—an action-packed lineup of events awaits!

- This tour is a Japanese tour. The tour conductor will provide language support using a translator (Pocket Talk).
- This is not a private tour; you will enjoy the tour with other guests.
- If the minimum number of participants (20) is not met by (14) days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date might be canceled.
- Drinking alcohol on the bus is prohibited.
- Please note that odd-numbered groups will, in principle, share seats on the bus
- The order of the itinerary may be partially changed.
- The fireworks display will be held even in the event of rain, so the tour will operate as scheduled. However, in cases of severe weather (such as typhoons or heavy rain), river flooding, or other hazardous conditions, the fireworks may be canceled.
- If the fireworks are canceled due to severe weather, the tour will still operate unless the organizers officially announce the cancellation before the tour departure. Final cancellation decisions may be made on the morning of the event day, in which case you may be informed by the tour staff on the day.
- In the case of sudden weather changes after the tour has departed, and the fireworks are canceled or postponed, please note that no refunds (including for reserved seating) will be provided.
- Return times may be significantly delayed due to traffic and crowd conditions, which may result in missing your final public transportation connection. In such cases, any additional transportation expenses (e.g., taxi fare) will be at your own cost.
- If the fireworks display is officially canceled before the day of departure, the full tour fee will be refunded. However, no refunds will be provided if cancellation occurs after the tour has already begun.
- Please bring your own items for heatstroke prevention.
- Dinner is not included. Please enjoy local food at the festival venue at your own expense.

Important Notes During Bus Tour
- Please refrain from drinking alcohol on the bus.
- Members of the odd-numbered group may need to share seats with other passengers on the bus.
- As stipulated by Japanese law, please wear your seat belt on the tour bus.
- Please remain seated and avoid walking while the tour bus is moving.
- Seating on the bus is assigned by H.I.S staff. Please do not change your seat during the tour.
- Please be punctual and arrive at the designated meeting place on time. The bus will depart on time and will not wait for latecomers.
- Latecomers who wish to rejoin the group will be responsible for all transportation fees. 8.Please wear the sticker provided by the tour guide visibly.
- Avoid sticking the sticker on leather goods, as it may leave marks.
- Do not use the seat reclining function or adjust the seat settings.
- Please set all electronic devices, including mobile phones and game consoles, to silent mode.
- Talking on mobile phones and making video calls are prohibited on the tour bus.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited on the tour bus.
- Arrival times at each sightseeing spot may vary depending on traffic conditions.
- The use of drones for filming or other purposes is prohibited during the tour.
