Hogetsu - Bettei - is a building where you can experience living like a villa, with the living/dining room and terrace finished with a lava stone earthen floor, where the inside and outside are seamlessly connected. The floors on the first floor and terrace are covered with lava from Sakurajima, and the dirt floor space with shoes on inside and outside is a welcoming space where you can invite many guests for events and parties. There is also a Daruma stove inside and a fire pit for the Goemon bath outside, so you can enjoy a fire. The second floor was made with tatami mats for overnight stays, and the booth was turned into a private tea room with no windows. In contrast to the open space on the first floor, the second floor is a small, enclosed space with a concentrated sense of comfort. A space where you can experience Japanese culture.
