The Highlight

Master Kiln Heritage & Local Culinary Arts: Discover prestigious centuries-old ceramic studios and enjoy a delightful lunch served in an aesthetic, porcelain-centric atmosphere.

Exclusive Hands-On "Treasure Hunting": Dive into a historic kiln warehouse and fill your basket with authentic, handcrafted porcelain pieces to take home as unique souvenirs.

The Experience

Okawachiyama Village (大川内山) Tucked away in a secluded mountain valley, this historic village was once the secret domain of the Nabeshima Clan, where master artisans crafted top-secret porcelain exclusively for shogun and imperial courts. Today, visitors can wander through quiet cobblestone alleys framed by towering brick chimneys, peaceful stream channels, and mountain views while discovering hidden artisan workshops.

Arita Porcelain Park (有田ポーセリンパーク) A breathtaking ceramic-themed estate featuring a magnificent replica of Dresden's Zwinger Palace, built to celebrate the historical ties between Japanese porcelain and European royalty. Beyond admiring the majestic architecture, guests can get hands-on with a creative porcelain decal-painting workshop and savor a rich, delicious Imari beef sukiyaki lunch in an extraordinary atmosphere. Fukagawa Seiji (深川製磁) Founded in 1894, Fukagawa Seiji is one of Arita's most distinguished porcelain houses, proud to have been appointed as an official purveyor to the Japanese Imperial Household. Known for its vivid cobalt blue glazes (Fukagawa Blue) and delicate hand-painted motifs, this historic atelier offers an inspiring look into royal-grade porcelain art and timeless tableware design. China on the Park (チャイナ・オン・ザ・パーク) Designed as Fukagawa Seiji's flagship art park, this lush complex seamlessly integrates fine porcelain, modern architecture, and scenic natural surroundings. Visitors can explore a curated gallery showcasing rare imperial masterworks, browse exclusive contemporary porcelain collections, and enjoy a relaxing walk through pristine, forested grounds.

Gen'emon Kiln (源右衛門窯) As one of Arita's most celebrated classical kilns, Gen'emon has preserved centuries-old hand-painted porcelain traditions using pure natural clays and rich enamel glazes. A walk through its peaceful workshop grounds allows guests to observe master artisans meticulously drawing and glazing each individual piece by hand, keeping the authentic spirit of traditional craft alive.
