The Experience
Hiruzen Shiogama Camping Village Located in Daisen Oki National Park in Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, and blessed with abundant nature, including the Shiogama Cold Spring, one of the 100 best waters in Japan, which springs from the site.
Hiruzen Yakisoba In the Hiruzen region in northern Showa Prefecture, yakisoba and Jingisukan (grilled mutton barbecue) made with miso, which each household made as a preserved food for winter, have been eaten since around the 1950s.
Hiruzen Jersey Land Located at the foot of Hiruzen, it offers magnificent views of the Hiruzen Sanza and the sight of Jersey cows peacefully grazing in pastures. Visitors can observe the dairy factory, which produces Jersey yogurt and cheese using the light yet rich Jersey milk, through the windows. The restaurant and shop offer soft-serve ice cream and a platter of Jersey sausages, among other treats.
GREENable HIRUZEN A new facility in one of Japan’s Sustainable Development Goal Future Cities, GREENable HIRUZEN brings together art, architecture, and activities for an eco-friendly tourism experience. It prides itself on sustainability projects, including a biomass power plant fueled by forest thinning, wood-industry waste, and local lumber.
