Located in Kaiyo, in the southern-most part of Tokushima prefecture, Hi-COLOR handworks uses the beautifully clean water of the Kaifu River for both everyday purposes and aizome indigo dyeing. The Kaifu River is one of 36 rivers in Japan known for its beauty and water quality.

Lodging Limited To One Group Per Day We limit our guesthouse experience to one group per day, in order to ensure our attentiveness – both in conversation and in our dyeing experience. Groups of up to six can sleep in our guest quarters. For groups larger than 6, please consult with us.

Dinner We offer homemade meals made up of bountiful seasonal ingredients simmered, tempura-fried, or stewed, as well as fresh, locally caught sashimi-style seafood.

Breakfast Our breakfast offerings feature rice cultivated in the renowned waters of the Kaifu river, as well as dried fish and miso soup all carefully prepared in nearby Kaiyo.
