Nagasaki Peace Park The Nagasaki Peace Park is significant landmarks commemorating the atomic bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. The Peace Park is a tranquil space located several kilometers north of Nagasaki's city center. The iconic Peace Statue, a 10-meter tall sculpture symbolizing eternal peace.
Atomic Bomb Museum Located next to the Peace Park, the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum opened in April 1996. Its mission is to inform future generations about the horrors of war and nuclear weapons.
