Starting at Beppu Kogen Station at 500 meters altitude, the ropeway takes visitors up to Tsurumi Sanjo Station at 1,300 meters. The lower station area is known for its beautiful cherry blossoms and autumn foliage in the adjacent Tsurumidake Nature Park "Shiki no Sato". At the summit, visitors can explore the Tsurumi Sanjo Gongen Shrine and follow pilgrimage routes featuring the Seven Lucky Gods, blending cultural and spiritual experiences with nature.
The ropeway operates year-round, with departures every 20-30 minutes, though weather and maintenance can affect operations.

Summer season (March 15 to November 14)
First departure at 9:00 AM Last ascent at 5:00 PM Last descent at 5:30 PM
Winter season (November 15 to March 14)

The ropeway runs approximately every 20 minutes, and the ride takes about 10 minutes.
